So periodically, I’ll see a silly idea and run with it, just to see what happens. For example, I mentioned something in a challenge one time about accessories and drilled down slants and next thing you know, I had a thriving little site about toilet seats.
That’s all it promoted – toilet seats – wooden ones, plastic ones, heated ones, ones that were pink, blue, gold, white, cushioned, lit up – you name it. I promoted bidets, elongated toilet seats, brand name toilet seats and so on.
If you go to WordStream, you’ll see the volume. This is an accessory people order online. 18,100 people search for heated toilet seat each month it says. Toilet seat covers gets a whopping 22,200 searches (and I promoted those, too).
I think I flipped this site – it was a long time ago.
I love creating a very niche topic site because it’s easier to rank and easy to earn money with IF it’s a product people primarily order online.
And if you go to Amazon and type in heated toilet seat, you’ll see words added onto that phrase like with bidet, round, elongated, batte
And look on Amazon for heated toilet seat and you see products priced at $169-$399. Hundreds and even thousands of sales, too.
I’ve had some silly sites – another one for one specific costume for babies that was a snail. Just go with it once in awhile. A domain is cheap and if you have a hosting plan, it costs nothing extra. Just upload a blog and here and there add some keyword focused, good content. See what happens. Make sure it’s evergreen, too!
